Do it for your mom!

I know that not every high school senior is excited to get their picture taken. For sure not everyone loves to be in front of the camera. In fact one of my brothers never got senior portraits taken... he is the only one who doesn't have his folio on the bookshelf by the fireplace at my mom's house. BUT - really, you should do it anyway, just to make your mom happy!

I promise I will make it as painless as possible.

I won't pose your hands.

(Unless you are a girl. Then I will, but only a little bit.)

This 2014 senior has it all together - he has plans. He is going to be a lawyer and he came for pictures in a power suit. I think he looks awesome. I also loved the location we went to for sunset pictures (I think he was wishing for someplace a little more desert-ish, but at the time lots of places were closed because of fire danger.)

Anyway, thanks to him for being a super good sport. Your mom thanks you too! I know because I am a mom and I will have to bribe my son when it's time for his senior pictures someday.

Me: "Just read your book under the tree at the park, in your dress clothes, like you always do..." Right?

If you are a senior who doesn't love having their picture taken, I promise to make it short and not tell too many awful jokes. Also if you hate to show your teeth, I won't make you do it. And I won't stare at you with weird eyes or talk non-stop. (I never talk non-stop so that one is easy.) Give me a call and we can talk about a senior session. :)

I have more information about my senior graduation photography here, or if you like the location we used for his senior portraits, you can see these and many more ideas here.

A LOT of frosting, a lot of fun!

I told my husband that this little guy *almost* made me want a baby again! He was just so much fun - I don't think he ever cried for a second, even when he was done with cake at the end. Usually cake smash sessions tend to end in tears - that how you know the baby is done with the cake! - but he was up for anything, with a big smile.

I love his mom's idea of taking pictures of him holding his last picture. He was hysterical with this - he would hold it for a few minutes, and then he was DONE - he'd put it aside (upside down) and there was no changing his mind.

His mom also had a "little man" theme - how darling is this???

Cake: at first he had a very suspicious look with the cake. I was a little worried!

But he loved it!

What a delicious mess. My favorite cake smash session in a long time!

Here he's been cleaned off a little - still smiling! His mom told me they were cleaning frosting out of his ears and nose for a couple more days. :)

If you're interested in a one year portrait session (with or without cake), I'd love to talk to you about it! Give me a call or email.

I have a bunch more baby photography, along with some info on my baby plan options, on this blog page - check it out! I offer four different options for baby photography collections. If you are interested for yourself, or if you have a friend or family member you might like to gift a collection to, I have an online magazine with more information that you might like to see. You can send me your email address below and I will email you a link right away.
