Love these teen portraits

I see these awesome teenagers for their birthdays and they always have something interesting for me. This summer this lovely girl picked a location I'd never used before, and it's a great one! Urban but clean.

He used to be in my daughter's school class a few years ago - he's gotten so tall and handsome!

The dogs were so good!

We had a few wall colors to work with and everything looked great with her dress! I love the drama.

A little reminder of the times we're living in:

What a pleasure this session was! I love it when people share my love of color and have such a flair for style and posing.

If you're interested in more information about a family photography session, my website has lots of info about how I do sessions. Or you can call or email me if you have questions or would just like to chat about it, no pressure.

Creative photography along with a love of books

Another personal project I've been working on with my older daughter. I love having such a beautiful model at hand and it was really fun to incorporate her love of reading into some creative portraits. (Among other things.)

If you have a teenager with a big imagination, you both might love a creative portrait session. Any theme, book, show, or interest that your child loves would give them memories - and you artwork - that you will both treasure.  Give me a call or email, and we can talk about a session for your family.  You can see some other examples of creative and theme photography here.

Cavemen football

I was invited to a football game - 2 brothers from Carlsbad (the Cavemen) both play on the same team. One is quarterback, one is on defense (handy for photography to have them both playing at different times). It was a lot of fun to watch - they were great and won the game too.

Thanks, I enjoyed it & I hope you enjoy the pictures! I should have a gallery in the next few days. (But we have Balloon Fiesta guests... which is going to slow me down...)

Backyard fun

I'm not having time to blog all my sessions... which is great, right? But I loved these & had to post a few. This is a really neat family I just met; shhhhhh, they're a Father's Day present. :) I love using people's back yards - maybe because I love pictures of our family in our back yard. And isn't their dog great? She didn't always want to be included, but she did end up being in some good ones.

Thanks, it was so great to meet you!

Another darling baby

This little guy is SO sweet! I took newborn pictures of him and he's grown up so much! He was all smiles & just the right size to sit in the basket that my baby hated to sit in. :) Love these pictures. (And check out his handsome big brother!)
