My family went on a trip to Chaco Culture Center this last spring break. Ever since then I've had these ideas in my head with Chaco, a girl, and a tiger.
My daughter - of course - was thrilled to help. She loves creative photography (or any photography).
We had such a fun time "interacting" with the tiger.
(It goes without saying that we did not actually stand on any walls or in any windows at Chaco Culture Center.)
That said, one of my favorite things about Chaco is that you can explore the ruins. I especially love the doorways in Pueblo Bonito.
I am always running into people who have lived in New Mexico for years and never been to Chaco. I think it's one of the most fascinating places in the state. If you'd like more information on this location the National Parks website is here.
I feel like it's important for me to keep a personal project going, at least on the back burner if I'm really busy. They tend to take a couple of months to get to a point where I feel like I can share. But it gives me something to work through mentally and I know it helps my portrait sessions as well when I have lots of ideas in my head.
If you have a child with a big imagination, or you have one yourself! - you both might absolutely
love a creative children's session. Any idea that piques your child's imagination would give them memories - and you artwork -
that you will both treasure.
Give me a call or email, and we can talk about a session for your family. You can see some other examples of creative children's photography here.

Happy graduation!
It always seems like once spring break is over, the end of the school year comes a few minutes later. It's graduation time! I especially loved working with this gorgeous senior for her senior portraits this spring.
She is an actress and she and her mom had this great idea - she wore her costumes from her last two plays, and we combined them in a really fun collage. I love love love how this turned out.
After some studio portraits, we headed over to Old Town. She was so easy and fun to work with - she just has this beautiful natural composure that made her look so comfortable and natural in photographs. As you can see!
What a huge pleasure it was to work with this lovely senior and her mom! Best wishes to her as she moves onward and forward!
If you are interested in senior portraits, I'd love to chat with you and discuss it! We can meet in person or talk on the phone, or you can email me. I have more information about my senior graduation photography here, or if you like the locations we used for her senior portraits, you can see these and many more ideas here.
