A really sweet newborn

This little girl is so darling - to me she looks so much like both her brother & her sister (who don't really look like each other to me). She had a sort of rough entry into the world and spent some time in the nicu, but has been home for more than a week and looks so great! I'm so happy for her family & will love seeing her grow.

She didn't love getting newborn portraits :) (honestly, not too many of them do) but she did great! She did drift off to sleep a few times.... before we woke her up to change her clothes, position, etc., so there are some great sleeping and awake pictures. I also especially love it when newborns will let us pose their little hands, and she did some of that.

One more senior session post

A few more from my great senior session from last week. Whew, I'm done! That was a crazy-lot of portraits - we had I think 13 locations.... over the top! It was a lot of fun & I had wanted to do some downtown stuff anyway - really glad we did. Thanks again to my fun senior! :)

1 year old baby portraits - studio style

This little sweetie could not have been more darling. I had the privilege of taking her newborn portraits a year ago, and her mom wanted something special as she has just turned 1. Her personality totally sparkled - there are more special pictures here than you can shake a string of beads at. :) (Sorry, I couldn't resist.) There is a great mix of story-telling portraits (where she's not looking at the camera) and images with great eye contact. Thanks so much for coming - I love sessions like this one!

Family evening session

I've been working a ton but not blogging.... time to get busy. Where are my priorities? :)

These are some great friends of ours, very flattering to be asked to be their photographer. It's a little different when you know the family well. Maybe because I know when the kids' smiles are totally fake (sorry, there are a few of those). Maybe because I just really want to do a good job. Well, of course I always do, but these I know I'll be seeing again & I want to be happy about it. So I was really glad when I went through my big virtual pile of images and found a bunch that I really like! They are such a fun family, how could I go wrong???

Senior session - downtown

I just had a blast with this amazing girl. She is so much fun! This is the continuation of our session from a couple of weeks ago - where we totally got rained out. We went downtown and shot until the light was gone... and then did a few more. :) There was so much to do - on the way home I was remembering all the things I'd wanted to include, but our time was well spent. She was gorgeous - so much personality & so much fun. Thanks for your time today!

And so I'm posting a whole bunch of pics here because she's going to be checking tomorrow.... (and there is a ton more which thankfully I will refrain from posting tonight)
