This little girl is my first ever that I couldn't get to stay asleep for newborn portraits. She was amazingly good for a whole bunch of family portraits (which I haven't worked on yet, sorry to her parents who I know are waiting), but she slept so lightly that I eventually ran out of time before I could do any sleeping pictures of her.
So we tried again, with amazing results! She is now 3 weeks old, really kind of old for these sorts of pictures, but she slept soooooooo well!
Sometimes these precious newborn smiles last long enough for me to fumble for my camera & catch the moment! I was so thrilled to find this on my card.
Her mom saw one like this that I'd done with another baby - another smaller baby :) - she didn't fit as well in the tub, but still so cute.
She posed herself for this one, great job!
She is old enough to be really stretching out - it was tricky to get a picture modest enough to print. :)
Months ago her mom asked me if I had a stork pouch - I was so excited to have a parent who wanted pictures with one that I quickly crocheted this. I was worried she'd be too big, but I think she fit great!
By the time we got the stick out, background changed, and my husband woken up to hold the other side of the stick, she was ready to wake up. She didn't exactly love being suspended while waking up (imagine yourself waking up to being suspended in kind of a net). But I love this. Thanks to her mom for the great idea!
Pam..you crack me up "I quickly crocheted this.."..what a cutie..I love the stork pouch and the chubby smile! Beautiful pics!
