You can have gorgeous senior portraits done on location, even in the winter!

It's time for senior portraits! Every year I do a bunch in the fall, and then... it gets cold and yucky and brown in Albuquerque. But lots of seniors (and their moms!) realize that waiting until spring can be tricky because things get so busy as graduation approaches. That means either studio portraits indoors, which is fun for me because I get to play with lighting and fun backgrounds. Or - it means we get creative with outdoor locations!

I met with this gorgeous senior last fall for one of my favorite senior theme sessions ever:

She also wanted a session where she could change clothes and get a little more variety. She is an amazing pianist, and had actually just finished auditioning for a position in a piano performance major, so we had to include a piano! This was the best part for me because I always like people to really play their instruments.  Beautiful!

I had some fun with lighting... love it! Thanks to my husband for being the human light stand. :)

Then we decided to find somewhere outdoors instead of staying inside.  I've been meaning to use this wall for ages, and I really like it!  Albuquerque is good for outdoor art - let's use it.

And I remembered that I love these stairs, just down the road - it was the perfect location for a few more really fun pictures.

So if you're thinking about senior portraits, and you don't want to wait until things get really crazy in the spring, think buildings, architecture, and structures that don't need green or leaves to be interesting.  I have more ideas if you are interested - just call or email me and we can talk!

I love doing sessions at great places like this these, but for lots of other session locations, see this blog page here.
