Giveaway!

My girls nearly always wear one of their gorgeous bows or clippies from Lynney Bugs Bows - and Chelsea of LBB has very kindly given me a bow to give away on my blog! It's a beautiful purple bow - my girls love it but they consented to model it only momentarily for a picture, and then allow it to be given away. This is an "Emma Bow" and is sold for $8. Please check out her website for more details. Chelsea's customer service is over the top amazing, and the quality of her bows is amazing too.





With the bow comes the "clippie of the month" - clippies are non-slip and stay in my daughters' fine, fine hair. The clippies are fantastic for keeping hair out of eyes without using rubber bands every day (I have a complex that rubber bands worn very often break their hair off - they don't have enough hair to lose that way!)

More urban family pictures {Albuquerque family photographer}

Still working through my Mother's day pictures - I'm so happy with these. It's really nice to have my kids be big enough that they can do such a nice job having fun with pictures. My husband was throwing marshmallows at them for most of these - nobody got sick, but nobody was hungry for lunch afterwords either...

Family fun at the park {Albuquerque family photography}

I went to the park with one of my favorite families. It was time for family pictures - and I love what we got! The behind-the-scenes background for this great session - the baby did not like the wind. :) And it's been such a windy (sometimes I say horribly windy) spring! It wasn't even TOO breezy that day, but she wasn't crazy about it - or whatever it was - and only lasted for a few family pictures. Photoshop came to the rescue, and I do really like how the family portraits turned out. (Thank you, Photoshop! I love you.)

In the meantime, while we were waiting to see if she could be coaxed back to happiness, I played with the three big kids on the playground. LOOOOOOOVE these pictures. The only thing that I'd love more is if they had a happy little baby in them too :( - but we did another quick shoot a few days later with all 4 kids sitting very happily together (pictures still to come).

So I'd love these if they were of my kids - I hope they do too! (I'm posting way too many.)







The balloons... I love the idea, but it was too windy for them. They were IN THE WAY :) - but we did a few pictures with them anyway. There was another little boy at the park who literally could not leave the balloons alone - I told him if only I'd known he would be there, I'd have brought one more. Then one of them deflated, and he wanted this sad little flat balloon. Is that a nice thing to give a little boy at the park? A flat balloon on a string? I did.

A few more of my fun senior session from yesterday - and one more in uniform that I love & can't resist posting. :) I think this is my favorite overall, & there are tons that I love.



If you know me you probably know that I'm a runner, so other runners get a high approval marking from me. (Like how runners think, really, that EVERYONE should run. You can do it! Just start slowly!) Anyway, all his other achievements, and cross-country too!

Senior portraits - Military {Albuquerque senior photographer}

I'm happily surprised that I'm doing senior portraits NOW - graduation is Saturday :) - but what a huge pleasure it was to do senior pictures with this amazing guy. He is in the civil air patrol and has been appointed to West Point and is working on the Air Force Academy too. (His mom says getting an Eagle Scout is nothing compared to getting a military academy appointment. Which he also is - an Eagle Scout.) So his academic and leadership skills are amazing - what an inspiring and driven person he is.

I'm posting some favorite pictures in uniform - some casual stuff is on the way. I love these.

Mother's day - urban family portraits {Albuquerque family photography}

It's Mother's Day! One of my most favorite days of the year. First of all, a big I love you to my mom - she's the best mom in the world! I was so happy to talk to you today Mom, hope you had a great evening with the kids. And my husband's wonderful mom too!

Today I got about 25 presents (more, really, if you count the flowers). I need to do some good present photography because they are really sweet. But one of my favorite presents that I get each year is everyone's cooperation for family pictures! I'm in love with these. My little boy kept saying "My, we're really being cooperative, aren't we Mommy?" YES, you are, my sweet kids. The marshmallows helped, but they had their best happy smiles even before we started throwing marshmallows :). There are tons more great pictures, some for a later post I guess.

I think this is my favorite. But it's hard to choose.


I'm shooting for a specific frame combination :) - need a tall & skinny pic. I love that we're all happy & looking at the duck sitting on the camera, except our youngest. This is so her.

Two beautiful sisters - Old Town session {Albuquerque baby child photography}

When I opened these pictures up after their session, my mind kept saying "Oh MY." I love these pictures! These little girls are some of my very favorites - so happy and fun, and their smiles are so gorgeous! They were so much fun in Old Town - we don't usually get the chance to do puddle-splashing down there, so that was extra fun. This is why I love baby & child photography. Thanks so much to their great parents! I hope you love these too.
