I always say one of the best parts of being a photographer is getting to meet newborns right away. It's such a privilege to be one of the lucky few that get to spend a little time with them when they're tiny. This little guy was perfect - he slept (though being uncovered definitely tended to wake him up :) ) and check out the beautiful sleep-smile! I definitely wanted to snuggle him up.
He's already grown so much (I just saw him today) - one thing that makes newborn pictures so precious is that it's such a fleeting stage of life.
Which is something I have to remind myself of when I have a newborn & haven't slept in weeks. :) (Then sometimes I remind myself again when they're 4 months old and I STILL haven't slept but now it's been months instead of weeks...)

ReplyDeleteWhat a darling little baby! He looks like Dirk Snel did when he was a newborn. :) Now he is 21. You're right, times flies.
