I was so very happy to do another Operation Love session! This family was reunited after about a year apart. I can't even imagine how hard that would be, or how amazing it would be to be together again! My humble thanks to this family for their husband's/dad's service to our country.
They have a little girl - DARLING. She was amazingly good while waiting.
Here's where things start to get really exciting. :) (Do you remember before we had cell phones, and we didn't ever know if the plane had touched down or not? I love knowing.)
Hooray! How sweet is this???

Another beautiful senior - {Albuquerque senior photographry}
Another fabulous senior - she actually graduated early and didn't want to walk the line in May. She is SO on track - she has big plans and is on her way.
I love her - she's so full of fun. Every smile was hugely gorgeous. She's so positive and is such a force for goodness and beauty. Thanks so much to her & her mom - I had an amazing time & I hope you love the pictures!
This one is my favorite. I love all her big smiles too, but something about this one really speaks to me. Gorgeous.
Had to include both of the girls together!
And this is what the future holds for them, right???

Senior portrait previews - {Albuquerque senior photographer}
This beautiful senior, who just graduated and actually has gone to Europe for 15 days (my dream trip! Well, one of them anyway...) and her beautiful friend - preview coming soon! - met me for some senior pictures. It was so fun!
This girl was recognized as one of the 2010 "Selfless Seniors" by APS Education Foundation. Students who qualify as Selfless Seniors are those who give back to their community, who haven’t been recognized by their high school, who have made a positive impact on others facing difficulties and whose character sets them apart. Amen to that - she's amazing! She's off to college in a few weeks. She'll be missed!

Bow giveaway winner, and a really sweet newborn! {Albuquerque newborn photographer}
First of all I need to announce the winner of my bow giveaway - it's 2bzmom. And obviously I know you, but I don't recognize your google login - so just email me and I'll get you the bow. Thanks everyone!
Next - some of my new favorite newborn portraits! This little girl was 10 days old, still sleepy, and she was absolutely perfect for her pictures. Her parents were amazing new parents. They had on their coffee table "The Happiest Baby on the Block" - a book that saved my life with my 2nd baby. So they are pros already!
Also I inadvertently showed them that the bassinet in their pack & play comes apart so it can be washed - I shouldn't have put a naked baby down directly on the fabric, even for a second... thanks for being so nice about it. :)
Anyway, I love these - I hope they do too!
To me, the hands-holding-up-chin picture is the hardest one to get. So tricky to balance that little head! This was as good as it got for me :) - had to include it because it's the closest I've gotten. And honestly, how cute is this???

I ♥ Faces entry - Yellow
I think www.iheartfaces.com is such a fun website! I always think that I'll enter their contests but I very rarely have time. Today I had a few minutes, and a willing model (payment = 1 popsicle). The theme is "yellow" and this is my entry. This just says summer to me!
March winds... oh wait, it's May! May winds... {Albuquerque children photography}
It's been SO windy this spring. I know, it probably always is in the spring. But sometimes it drives me crazy. Yesterday we got some really good use out of the wind though, with our new kite.
Now, for whatever reason, and despite having 2 engineer parents at our house, we can't fly kites. This was probably our most successful kite-flying outing ever. And it crashed hundreds of times, most notably in a huge cactus or several times over the neighbor's fence in their tree. But it actually flew for quite awhile too. Fun!

His first park day - {Albuquerque baby photographer}
I met this fun family at the park and really enjoyed working with their little boy! He's one of my baby plan babies and these are his 6-month old pictures. This age is always great (although he was especially great). He could sit up really well and enjoyed a bunch of new & fun things to see, do, and taste. :) The first of many visits to the park! It was a great place for pictures.... except for a few mosquitos... hopefully they just got his mom & me and not him!
I love his blue blue eyes, and what a smile! He was perfect, thanks so much to his parents for meeting me there!

Newborn (sort of) - {Albuquerque newborn photography}
Newborn portraits.... some of my very favorites to do! This little guy was a couple weeks older than I usually get for newborn portraits - he was one month old, and I like to catch them before 10 days old if possible. But his beautiful mom said he was still pretty sleepy, so we did some awake pictures & then happily she easily got him to sleep. He was so good! He was happy when he was awake, and he was a perfect sleeping model too.
It was great to see this really nice family again - their kids impress me so much. They were so patient while we took a long time with pictures of the baby.
