Fall session to die for

I still have leaves in my hair from this amazing session. I think I'm in love - these are some of my favorites! I woke up & was so sad that today the light was gray and flat and blah. Then when I walked into the botanic gardens, it was a leaf wonderland! It was SO much fun.

This family is so beautiful - I've done a couple of sessions before here and here. They were amazing - even though it was kind of cold, everyone got involved in the leaves (voluntarily or involuntarily) and even took their shoes off. So happy happy happy - what a great family, thanks so much!

An amazing senior

More senior pictures - these were so fun! I'm still hoping to work some football pictures into his very busy schedule. I'd never been to the graffiti ruins before - I love them! Senior pictures are so much fun for me, thanks!

Keeping really busy this weekend...

Sooooo busy trying to get sessions proofed & galleries put together - if you're waiting, I'm working on it! Here's a couple things I did tonight :)

I started a few portraits for this amazing senior. Our schedules coordinated only for a few minutes tonight, and the light was really low for those, but how fun are they??? He's the quarterback for Cibola and one of the nicest teenagers I know. I'm looking forward to more next week.

And some sports collages - what a good way to show sports pictures from this fall! I really enjoyed going to a couple of games to see these guys play.

A triumph of Facebook

So I don't like to spend a lot of time on facebook. It's fun but (as you may know) addicting, and I don't have any extra time to play around on the computer right now. Anyway, through the friend networking thing I found one of my high school friends that I haven't talked to since graduation. Then we realized that we both live in Albuquerque! (We went to high school in Everett, WA - which I always say is the opposite of Albuquerque.) She teaches 4th grade at one of the Westside elementary schools; we moved here to the Westside when my husband got a job at Sandia Labs a few years ago - it's a huge coincidence. I met her this week at the river where she takes her dogs, and it was so fun to catch up! I loved it. She's just as nice as she was in high school :) - I hope we can spend more time together.

So here's a preview - your dogs are beautiful!

I got too close to the shaking a few times, then realized it would be a great picture :)

Cousins at the botanic gardens

I had a fun Saturday morning at the botanic gardens (I've been spending a ton of time there - not tired of it yet, either!) with these cousins. Half of them just moved to the area and the other half were visiting from Texas. What beautiful children :) - as you can see - and I enjoyed their moms too. They were really fun!

In the beginning the moms told me not to mention t-r-a-i-n-s because the little boys wouldn't be able to think about anything else. Then lo-and-behold along came the real thing - the train you can ride on. And a tractor drove by too! We were really done by then anyway. (I love the back end of the farm at the gardens!)

A sweet reward after an hour of pictures... I need to be bringing these in my camera bag... (except my daughter would find them & eat them all)
