Splashy bosque fun - {Albuquerque family photography}

Sometimes sessions are just all fun. This was a beautiful evening, at the river, with gorgeous light, with an amazing family, who didn't mind getting a little wet. Doesn't get much better than that! :) I didn't even get much in the way of bugbites.... though the next time I was out there I certainly did. Their youngest daughter used to have a small camera aversion, but she's certainly over it now - it was nothing but happy beautiful smiles from her. Fun all around! Thanks so much you guys, there are a ton of great pictures - I had a hard time choosing (obviously) and I'll have your DVD shortly.

Family portraits on a stormy night - {Albuquerque family photographer}

This family has to be one of the most photogenic families I've worked with in awhile. I mean really, look at these gorgeous smiles!

This session was meant to be at a nice garden-type park, but as the time grew close a storm appeared and sat over Rio Rancho, right where we wanted to be. Lightning, I think there was hail, etc. So we decided to do pictures here - inside. Happily when they arrived it wasn't quite raining, so we did a bunch out in my yard. My roses have never been as beautiful as they were this year, and I was really happy that they got to be in some pictures! I also love my front porch for pictures. And since I'd set it up, we did a few inside also.







These guys know how to pose. I have a bunch like this & love them all. I was halfway done with these & suddenly realized - "Will Smith!" Doesn't the older brother look like Will Smith? He says he hears that a lot.

One last senior from 2010 {Albuquerque senior photography}

Okay this is really my last senior session for the class of 2010 :) - we even took these after he was out of school. We had never done any football pictures in the fall, and then decided to wait until there was green grass, and then... things got busy. (I remember - there is so much to do in the last couple of months of high school!) Anyway. I hadn't realized that he was not only a talented quarterback and track athlete, but also a gifted pianist. Great things in store for this graduate!

A splashy engagement session - {Albuquerque engagement photographer}

This was so much fun - this beautiful couple is getting married later this summer, and we went out one evening to do an engagement session. If she looks familiar, it's because this is her sister :) - this year one sister graduated and the other is getting married, so there's tons of good stuff going on with their family this summer!

And they had a waterfight in the river.... a perfect engagement session! (Except for a few mosquito bites - next time I'll have to break down & use bugspray.)


This is one of my favorites. We got done with the water just in time to play with sparklers.

Summer family portraits at the Biopark - {Albuquerque family portraits}

I have to confess. I love summer, and I love having my kids home. But I am definitely not in the swing of things with a summer schedule yet. I've been spending some good quality kids time, but I've not been finding much time to work. (Or clean the house.) As a result I'm falling behind on sessions, which I always feel like I am anyway, but more than usual. I can't quite apologize when my reason is such a good one :) - but thanks for your patience if you've been waiting!

I went with this family to the botanic gardens, where I've been quite a bit lately actually, and it's especially beautiful right now. (As long as you don't mind the extra photography tax they've imposed.... don't get me started...) We had a great time - they are such a happy and beautiful family! I had forgotten how close in age their little boy and my daughter are. They are both very interested in trains, which is of course one of the highlights of going to the biopark. He had lots of interesting things to tell me about trains - he's put more thought into it than my daughter has. (She pretty much just loves Thomas and Percy.) Anyway this session had lots of fun action, not too much posing, but we definitely got everything I wanted and more. Thanks so much, it was so great to see you again!
