Exploring Albuquerque! - {Albuquerque family photography}

I don't work on Sundays - I save Sundays for church & family. Today I was thinking about all the things that need to be done, but not today :), when I realized that it was the perfect day to explore Albuquerque! Everyone wanted to come too, especially when I told the kids that we were going to look for new parks. (If they had known that I would - as usual - forget to bring any sort of waterbottles, they might have reconsidered.)

Anyway, in a few hours we discovered some really great places around town! I am often asked about different locations for photography, so I'm posting a bunch of pictures for people to use as possible ideas. So - if you see something you love (like I did - I'm already planning our next annual photo session) - let me know and we'll set something up! I can see family sessions, maternity, kids, even babies at any of these beautiful places!

..... My disclaimer.... these are all very quick grab shots. I didn't always set up the light correctly, because I wanted to get a larger view of the area.

Location #1. Gorgeous park, grass, hills, lots of trees.




Location #2. Meadows, fields, big trees, mountain view.




Location #3. Nice big green park with a neat building. I have a thing about turquoise doors. :)






Location #4. Bridge, gardens, mountain view. Gorgeous. I stepped on a bee & got stung, so be careful. :) (Don't think there were lots of bees or anything, it was just some kind of bad luck.)










Location #5. Pond, including fish, ducks, and a frog that my son saw.

A morning at the park - {Albuquerque baby photography}

This little boy is 6 months old and just embarking on a lifetime of park days. :) He was absolutely darling - he has a great big smile and likes to jump! He didn't want to sit down - at all - but can already crawl and was very happy being on the move. And his parents were amazing - they are perfect little-boy parents. I really enjoyed meeting them all - thanks so much!

Maternity, swords, bears, karate, balls... {Albuquerque maternity family photography}

I think this will be my longest preview post ever. When you see the pictures you'll know why - this was a huge session with the most amazing family! We started out with some great family/maternity portraits. Their two kids.... I loved them! So photogenic, so expressive & full of fun!







And obviously Mom is gorgeous - and, a fun bonus for me, the Dad was a ton of fun! I love it when the Dad is happy to get pictures done. :)














All right, once we had some family portraits that I love, they got out the props. :) I've never had someone bring swords for pictures before, but I loved it. They had a list of outfits, props, and ideas, so that they could make sure to get everything they wanted. What a good idea!
