My family. A lot of it. - {Albuquerque family photography}

I can't believe how fast the summer is going. We just spent a really fun week with my family in Colorado. This trip was the END of the summer trip. And it's over already! How does that happen??? I've been giving some consideration to homeschooling my kids. I hate it when they go back to school.

One of the great parts of our trip was my grandma's 90th birthday party. We surprised her with more family than I've seen all in once place (since our last vacation when my husband's family all got together...). I was in charge of the formal photography.

Here's the big family picture. Happy birthday Grandma!

Some of the little ones were way past their naptimes. So this picture is actually exceptionally good. :) (Sometimes I have to point that out.)

And this one is funny because in the background you can see my daughter, streaking (not literally) across the grassy field. After we did the big group shot the kids scattered, and there was literally always one of them behind the bench as we did the rest of the formal pictures. (Thank you, Photoshop.)

Next, my cousin & his beautiful wife & kids. It was so good to see them again! (The kids informed me that they want you to visit again this year for balloon fiesta - please come! Every year!)

The baby was all done, but I got to play with their little boy a bit later on. Isn't he so handsome???

This is a really nice friend of my mom's. So nice, in fact, that they lent us their motor home for the cabin part of our trip. Sooooooooo nice. Fitting 18 people in a small one-room cabin is tough! It was really nice to have a motor home (and Mom also got lent a tent trailer) so that we didn't have to sleep head to toe. (Also Mom has mountain lion issues, which leads to tent-camping issues, but that's another story.)

Anyway I loved getting to meet them again & do a little bit of photography of their little boy. Such a cutie!

Then we got even more informal :) - the kids were all so happy to play with their cousins!

And lots of pictures for my cousin. I feel like I never see her - it seems like yesterday when her 16 year old was born. I must be getting old or something. :) I love her kids!

And... this was just day 2 of photography. :) Actually I didn't have my camera out too much, there was so much rain... but we did a bunch up at the cabin later on. Family: we loved seeing you all! We miss you! I'll get you a CD eventually...

  3. Just for the record, REBECCA is the main one with the mountain lion issues. She also has similar concerns about bears!

    The pictures are all fabulous and I agree with Mikki...they really do catch the personalities of all the kids, and are a wonderful record of the day.

  4. I am amazed that you took all of those beautiful pictures in a short amount of time. I am also impressed with your ability to organize such a large group of people that were all running around that large open field.
