Fall portraits, back when it was beautiful in Albuquerque

This session kicked off the fall color for me last year. Fall is, of course, the busiest season for photography, and for good reason! The colors were just starting to change when we took these portraits.


These amazing kids have sadly (for us) - or happily (for Colorado, and hopefully for them too) - moved to Denver, but they visited for fall break and I was so happy to see them!




I am just imagining my kids hugging with smiles like this for a picture. I'm having to use my imagination because my kids are not at a stage where it actually happens. Maybe these pictures could inspire them, right?












Photography with my own children tends to be thick with bribes and.... yes, potentially, threats. Not so with these awesome kids! We were done in a few minutes, leaving plenty of time for playing.


Yes, fall photography is great, but you don't have to wait that long for beautiful family portraits! You can either wait for spring, which will be coming soon, or I have lots of other great location ideas here, some of them that really work year-round.
