I really love to work on personal photography projects. I don't very often make the time to do them, but this last month my daughter and I worked together on this really fun Little Red Riding Hood themed session. She and I have a shared love of fairy tales, and we're hoping to do more fantasy themes like this in the future.
This was the most fun she has ever had taking pictures with me - it was magical.
I spent more time than usual with post-production, because these are meant to be art pieces, and because she LOVED it so much when I did something like add a wolf. (I think a teeny part of her mind wondered/hoped if there perhaps was a wolf behind her at some point.)
While she was ecstatically happy the whole time we were shooting, she also took it pretty seriously. I loved this because she got as much creative input as she wanted. She knew just how Red Riding Hood would walk (and skip) down a path.
I also loved the chance to do some portraiture in a little different way.
I think this one is my favorite. But obviously I had a hard time choosing.
If you have a child with a big imagination, you both might absolutely love a creative children's session. We did a fairy tale theme here, but any book, show, or interest that piques your child's imagination would not only be a blast but would give them memories - and you artwork - that you will both treasure. Give me a call or email, and we can talk about a session for your family. You can see some other examples of creative children's photography here.
