I have a nervous habit of crocheting newborn hats. Sometimes when the baby is sleeping soundly, it turns into a hat fashion show.
This is one of my favorites. Isn't he just so sweet?
Newborn portraits are potentially so time-consuming that I don't always love to combine them with family portraits. But at this session the baby slept especially well, and I had a few extra minutes to try to get some portraits with his four brothers and sisters. I love this one!
Usually I will do any family portraits first, which is what I did with this session. Here they had just walked in the door, the baby was sleeping so we put her on a chair, and I worked with her older sister.
Love. :)
Then while the baby got changed and fed, I had a few minutes to get some pictures of her sister's happy dance. (She got to go home after this.)
I love how clear and bright his eyes are in the next two pictures! I like it when the baby is awake for some of the session.
If you are expecting a baby, and you're interested in newborn photography, I would love to chat with you about setting up a session! I like to do these sessions before the baby is 10 days old, so it takes a little planning ahead. Give me a call!
I have a bunch more newborn sessions, along with some info on my baby plan options, on this blog page. I offer four different options for baby photography collections. If you are interested for yourself, or if you have a friend or family member you might like to gift a collection to, I have an online magazine with more information that you might like to see. You can send me your email address below and I will email you a link right away.
Your newborn portraits are simply divine! Your babies look so comfortable and relaxed...and I adore your little hat collection!
